They met on a BBS – inviting each other closer via mechanical keyboards and CRT screens. Like in a dance, fingertips move effortlessly from one key to another, weaving fantastic patterns from naked truths and confession.

Each night she walks past the abandoned electronics store, the one that used to sell portable radios and walkmans. Her sight is now gone, but she can still hear the music from the better days. Two streetcorners later the music is entirely gone and the background hum returns. She can't wait to get back home to her computer.

He lives in an apartment in the attic, sleeping most days. There's little reason to go out in the perpetual fog. Every night, he descents to the store to slip a cassette from the old days into the still functional red tape player. Then quickly returns to the attic window to wait. The blind lady walks past the store. Gasp, then sigh.
